If you have studied your reflection in the mirror and found dissatisfaction with the image staring back at you, it’s time for a change. If you feel you are too skinny, that you don’t have enough muscle to cut a well-defined and chiseled look, follow these rules below to build the muscle mass you need.
There may be several reasons why you have a slender frame or just one reason you really need to work on to overcome. These reasons can include genetics; maybe your parents are slender or your entire family is considered “skinny”.
Since muscle requires a lot of protein to acquire mass, it may be the need for a new diet instead. In other cases, some have found they simply have a fast metabolism. It may be one of these reasons or a combination. Regardless, all of these factors can be addressed to give you the kind of body you want.
It is important to remember you are not alone. There are many others, especially professional athletes that have had to work very hard to achieve their physical goals. The good news for you is that this probably won’t require hours of daily physical training to gain the muscle you want.
If you stay motivated, your end result will be a reflection you can be proud of. On top of the aesthetics, you will have increased confidence and benefits that enhance your health for years to come.

Muscle Building Made Easy for Slender People

1.  Knowledge is power
Learn all you can about why you are slender. Find out if it is a problem of genetics, diet or a fast metabolism. There are different factors at play in this and you have to know which factor is affecting your build.
Trying to build your muscle mass without a clear understanding of the problem can lead to wasted time and resources and frustrated hopes. Find someone that has had a problem gaining weight and ask what they did to correct that problem. Once you have the knowledge you need, confidence will follow, making it easier to for the next step.

2.  Devise a plan of action
Once you know, or at least have an idea, of what you need to do, sit down and decide on a course of action. Write it down and set small goals, like being ready to begin a new exercise on a specific date, etc.
Creating a plan of action can help keep you focused on your goal and desired end result. It helps you map progress and determine new plans of action if you find the original plans need to be tweaked. It helps keep you centered on staying true to the plan. You will find little victories and causes for celebration along the way.

3.  Believe in what you are doing, even if no one else does
Some people are negative, no matter what the situation is. Don’t allow the negativity of others to hold you back. Stick with your plan and keep moving forward. Do as much research as you can on the benefits of your plan and desired goal.
Find reasons why you should keep moving forward. Overcome the negativity in others with the positivity that you generate with results. If you stay true to your goals, you can prove them wrong in a short period of time.

4.  Learn some Psychology
Sometimes, there is more than just a negative attitude behind the way others treat your dreams. There are some that may not want to see you succeed because they are jealous or intimidated by the changes they see in you. Instead of allowing their behavior affect you negatively, research ways to combat this.
When you know why people act the way they do, you are better equipped to handle that behavior when it comes. It is important to remember who you are and who you want to be when dealing with insulting comments or unsupportive people as you meet your goals.
Try to stay focused and continue with your plan of action, regardless of how others act. Remember that you are your own person, able to make choices for yourself. They don’t have a right to hold you back from attaining your goals. You don’t need their permission to succeed.

As you follow these steps, you will find yourself on a road of fulfillment, heightened self-confidence and better health. In achieving your goals, you will learn more about yourself and more about your potential. Be sure to read Part 2 to find the rest of the rules for gaining muscle to get the body you have desired.
