Fasting: The Fast Way To Lose Weight!

Stop eating! Well, not long term but a short 1-Day Fast can help you get used to not having those pound packing carbs and sugar-laden drinks you’ve been keeping in your refrigerator.
There are so many choices available to lose weight but by far the fastest way is to FAST. Not only can you lose that weight but you also help your body by giving a rest every once in awhile! We caution you to check with your physician before you begin any diet program and especially a fast because you will not be getting vital nutrients essential for your health.
Before we go any further, let’s take a brief look at how you may want to prepare yourself for this new experience without food. Fasting is a temporary solution to your weight loss goals if you only do it when you feel bloated and want to feel light, but on a long-term plan, 2 times a month, you can use this procedure to give your body a boost and a give it a rest at the same time.
Fasting used to mean NO FOOD of any kind. Only water and juice and fluids are permitted. But today with more toxins in our world, several types of fasting methods have grown in popularity.
 
Dry Fasting
During this fast you don’t eat any food or drink any fluids preferably for very short periods of time. A Dry Fast sometimes releases more toxins than the body has fluids to handle so watching out for dehydration is crucial.
People have reported symptoms that include extreme weakness/lethargy, heightened awareness, being sensitive to light and sound, dizziness, trembling and feelings of depression. We recommend working your way up to this type of fast for a few months before you try it. Get used to a fruit or liquid fast before you begin this one.
 
Liquid Fasting: Water Fasting
This a Zero Calorie Fast and you are advised to consume 1 -2 quarts of water each day…distilled water is best because it binds toxins that are flushed out of the body. As the name implies, it’s water only and no other juices or liquids. This fast offers a very fast detox and a very strong therapeutic effect.
Once you’ve decided on this type of fast the results will amaze you. The speed at which the body can heal itself during a water fast is phenomenal. Little physical things show up or disappear that you will simply not believe at first.
That mole you’ve been looking at for decades simply drops off your body, your arthritic shoulder all of a sudden doesn’t hurt anymore, that little piece of funky skin is gone without a trace…and those are just a few of the seemingly miracles that can occur.
If you use this fast for more than a few days your body starts the ketosis process of fueling itself by burning fat cells. Everyone is different so the time it takes to go into ketosis varies but once you go through it and your body then feels hungry again that is the sign that your fast should end.
 
Liquid Fasting: Juice Fasting
Many health professionals consider this to be the best type of fast because it gives your body nutrients that it needs unlike the water fast that has not calories or nutrients. Both fruit and vegetable juice can be consumed during this fast but don’t mix them together. During this fast you may also drink purified water.
 
Lemonade Fasting
Popular in the 70s, the Master Cleanse Diet commonly called the Lemonade Diet consists of lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper and lasted around 10 days to 2 weeks. As with most diets, eating habits after the fast should be addressed for long-term maintenance or else the weight goes right back on!
 
PARTIAL Fasting
Also called Selective Fasting, or Cleansing Diets, includes some food. This fasting method affects the time it takes your body to detox which is usually slower than the fluid fasts for obvious reasons.
With this type of fast a little or a lot of food can be included depending on what your goals are. And it’s important to understand that it’s not the amount of food you eat; it’s which foods you limit or the exclude that make it a Partial Fast. Even this type of fast provides detox and cleansing that supports the body to be healthy.
