Sinusitis is the inflammation of the sinus passage as well as over secretion of mucus by the membrane lining, the throat and the nose. Sinusitis is often accompanied with the flu, a common cold or other general infections.
Excessive and constant sneezing, a runny nose, blockage of the nostrils, pressure around the head, headaches, lack of appetite and difficulty breathing are all symptoms of sinusitis.

You can try some of these home remedies for sinuses below —

A teaspoon of black cumin seeds in a thin cotton cloth can provide relief when it is inhaled.
A few capsules of cayenne pepper after or during each meal for several days will help until the infection is cleared up. Alternatively, you can take one teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a cup of hot water three times per day to help your sinuses.
You can add a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil to half a cup of boiling water. You will get relief when you pour the mixture in a bowl and then inhale the steam for up to fifteen minutes while your head is covered with a towel.
You can also pour a few drops of eucalyptus oil on a napkin and sniff it periodically.
Try dissolving a teaspoon of salt into two cups of water and using it through a nasal inhaler.
You can also make a nasal flush when you mix one fourth teaspoon of baking soda with one fourth teaspoon of sale and warm water. You fill the syringe with the solution and then drop the mixture into your nose.
Dissolve one teaspoon of un-iodized salt and one half teaspoon of baking soda into a pint of water and then inhale the mixture through a nasal inhaler.
Try steeping two teaspoons of thyme into a cup of boiling water for ten minutes. You then drink the cup of this mixture three times per day. Thyme is good for respiratory infections because of its strong antiseptic properties.
To help move mucus and keep it flowing, sip on hot teas that are made with herbs such as fennel, anise, sage and fenugreek.
Make sure you only blow one nostril at a time. This helps prevent pressure buildup in the ears – something that can send bacteria even further back into the nasal passages.
Whenever your nostrils feel stuffed, sniffle. This is a good way to drain the sinuses as well as stale secretions down the throat.
To soothe relief and bring a fresh blood supply to the area, press your thumbs to either side of the nostril.
You can also try applying warm wash clothes over your cheekbones and eyes. Leave it there until you feel the sinus pain subside.
Because they contain a chemical that moves mucus as well as makes the mucus less sticky, pungent herbs like horseradish and garlic are good to eat.
To open your sinuses, add onions, horseradish, hot pepper, ginger and garlic to your soups.
Steep fresh basil in a cup of water and then drink it in order to alleviate the stuffiness that is caused by inflamed membranes.
